I’m wondering if you can help me on elder law.

My mom is in a nursing home & I want to try & save her assets.

Is a special needs trust helpful?

  1. A special needs trust is not helpful. You need to have your mother gift the assets to you. This needs to be done approx 5 years before she applies for Medicaid benefits.
