Nanny Stole Rings: Left for Poland. Any Suggestions?

I recently had a nanny stole some valuable rings- then left for Poland. Police claim they can do nothing without a witness or some kind of proof.

I have a report from the police. Can this be continued in Poland? The nanny is not cooperating with the police. He used a lawyer in Chicago to say he didn ‘t do it. The lawyer never called the police back.

The investigating agent said I can ‘t see the report. I sent letters to police, lawyer of conditions, the Polish consulate and to my senator. A researcher reserved here couldn ‘t find an address / number of social security. I have a copy of the nanny’s visa. Is there anything else I can do?

  1. Unfortunately, no. I doubt it will be followed-up on either. If it was murder, you’d still have trouble.

  2. The American Citizen Services section of the US embassy in Warsaw has a list of local attorneys who speak English and are willing to work for foreigners. Contact them, get a lawyer, and see if he can find her:
