FMHA Mortgage Loan Sold: Need to Refinance But Can’t Due to USDA

We bought our house back in 1988 and took a loan from FMHA, they then sold our loan down the line to USDA. We are fighting with them. They told us if we refinance the house we have to buy at today’s value, and not what we bought it at. That is a predatory loan. We do not agree and need major repairs done and will not do them because of them. They have done this too so many people and everybody has walked away from their homes and bought another under a bank. We have had this house for over 20 years and put money into it. We need help please.

Why $600 for Attorney to Close on Condo?

My friend is gonna buy a condo in Chicago south and the agent found him an attorney who charges 600$ fees for documentation stuff and any other legalities involved.

He would like to know if an attorney is really required and if 600$ justify the charges he is asking ?

Are these normal charges ?

Also what could be closing costs for a 2 br condo in chicago south in Douglas.

Landlord Question: How Much Notice to Show the House?

I live in Chicago, IL and rent a house by a person that I would like to keep confidential.

My question is: Is there a notice period by which they should give me if they want to enter the home to show the home, within a few hours?

By law, what is reasonable for us to ask if the landlord wants to show the house? We have children who nap, eat lunch, etc.
