When you file for Chapter 7 online, do you still have to pay the $299 fee?

  1. The filing fee must be paid in all cases unless you qualify for “In Forma Pauperis” status – - reserved for those without assets or income.

    You also must pay for credit counselling and financial management – usually about $75.
