I live in Chicago and I have an auto repair company D& J Car Care that will not release my car to me and is trying to charge me an outrageous fee for a diagnostic test.

Instead of the $39.95 advertised price, they are trying to charge me $100.00. They’ve had my car since 1/12/2010, yet they have failed to contact me in writing. I have had work done there in the past 1 1/2 yrs. I signed nothing.

What, if any, recourse do I have to get my car back?
